What is Family Flow Yoga?

Family Flow Yoga is a supportive space offering yoga classes, workshops, and courses for women, parents, children, and families — from pregnancy through to school age.

Where are classes held?

We currently run classes in Port Talbot and Swansea. Full addresses and directions are available on our Contact page.

Do I need to have done yoga before?

Not at all! Our classes are designed for beginners as well as those with experience. You’ll be guided at your own pace.

What should I bring to class?

A yoga mat, water bottle, and any personal items you feel comfortable with. For mum & baby sessions, bring a blanket or toy for your baby.

Do you offer online classes?

Some workshops (e.g. Hypnobirthing or Birth Trauma Release) can be offered online — ask us for details.

How do I book a class?

You can book directly through our website on the “Book Your Spot” page.

Are classes covered by health insurance or NHS funding?

Most classes are private, but occasionally antenatal courses may be reimbursed depending on your provider. Please check with your insurer.

Pregnancy Yoga
When can I start pregnancy yoga?

Pregnancy yoga is generally safe from 12 weeks onward, once you’ve had your first scan and your midwife or GP has confirmed all is well.

What are the benefits of pregnancy yoga?

It helps ease discomfort, improves posture, builds strength for birth, and supports relaxation and breath awareness.

Do I need to be flexible?

No! Pregnancy yoga is about gentle movement, breathing, and relaxation — not about flexibility or advanced poses.

Can my partner attend?

Pregnancy yoga classes are usually just for expectant mums, but partners are welcome in specific birth preparation workshops.

Hypnobirthing & Antenatal Courses
What is hypnobirthing?

Hypnobirthing is a combination of relaxation, breathing, and positive mindset techniques that help you stay calm and in control during labour.

How are antenatal courses different from NHS classes?

Our antenatal workshops are more personalised and holistic, combining evidence-based education with practical tools for birth preparation.

Can my birth partner attend?

Yes, partners are encouraged to attend. They’ll learn techniques to support you and play an active role in the birth.

When should I book a hypnobirthing course?

Most parents attend between 20–34 weeks, but it’s helpful at any stage of pregnancy.

Birth Trauma Release
What is the 3 Step Rewind method?

It’s a gentle, structured process that helps you release difficult emotions connected to a traumatic birth or postnatal experience.

Is it counselling?

No — it’s not therapy or counselling, but a guided relaxation technique that helps you reframe your experience.

Can my partner attend?

Yes, both parents (or anyone affected by the birth) can benefit from Birth Trauma Release sessions.

How many sessions do I need?

Usually 2–3 sessions are enough for noticeable change.

Postnatal Mum & Baby Yoga
When can I start postnatal yoga?

Typically from 6 weeks after a vaginal birth or 8–12 weeks after a C-section, with your GP/midwife’s approval.

What happens in a mum & baby class?

We focus on gentle recovery for mums, bonding with your baby, and meeting other new mums in a supportive environment.

Can I feed or change my baby during class?

Of course! These classes are baby-led, so you can stop to feed, change, or cuddle whenever you need.

Do babies do yoga too?

The movements are mainly for mums, but we include gentle stretches, songs, and fun activities for babies too.

Wigglebums (Toddlers & Grown-Ups)
What is Wigglebums?

A playful, yoga-inspired class for toddlers and their grown-ups that combines movement, music, and relaxation.

What age group is Wigglebums for?

Typically walking toddlers up to around 4 years.

Do parents take part too?

Yes — it’s an interactive class where both toddlers and grown-ups move and play together.

Do I need yoga experience?

No, it’s designed to be fun, lighthearted, and inclusive.

Wigglekids (Older Children)
What is Wigglekids?

Yoga-inspired sessions for older children that blend games, movement, mindfulness, and relaxation.

What ages are Wigglekids classes for?

Usually children aged 5–10, though this may vary by group.

What are the benefits for kids?

Yoga helps with strength, coordination, focus, confidence, and emotional regulation — all while having fun.

Do parents stay during class?

Not usually — Wigglekids sessions are for children, giving them independence and space.

Yoga for Schools
Do you offer yoga in schools?

Yes, we run tailored sessions in primary and secondary schools, as well as nurseries.

How are school sessions structured?

We adapt to the age group, combining movement, breathwork, mindfulness, and relaxation techniques in a child-friendly way.

What are the benefits of yoga in schools?

Research shows yoga supports focus, behaviour, resilience, and emotional wellbeing — skills that benefit learning and life.

How can schools book a program?

Schools can contact us directly to arrange workshops, one-off sessions, or regular programs.

Practical Information
Do I need to bring equipment?

Please bring your own yoga mat if possible. Some equipment may be available at venues.

What should I wear?

Comfortable clothing that allows for movement — leggings, joggers, or similar.

Are classes accessible?

We aim to make classes accessible for all. Please contact us in advance if you have specific needs.

Do you offer private sessions?

Yes, one-to-one or small group sessions can be arranged on request.

Do you offer gift vouchers?

Yes! Gift vouchers are available for classes and workshops — a thoughtful gift for new parents.
